In October 2001 we took the kids on a trip to the Disney World.

Sunday we went to Sea World, took the girls on a ride called Journey to Atlantis which scared the heck out of us :-) We also saw the Dolphin and Shamu shows - the dolphins were far better we thought. We then went to pet stingray's and pet and feed the dolphins. Feeding the dolphins was a BIG highlight for Arianna.

Monday was our first day at WDW. We spent the day at Magic Kingdom, seeing some shows, getting character autographs, and lots and lots of walking. We tried to hit all the rides we wanted to go on first. Went to Downtown Disney for dinner. One of the girls favorite rides was the Buzz Lightyear ride - you get to shoot targets and you get points. I had high score of course :-)

Tuesday we went to Epcot - thought we could get in early because of our tickets but Disney had cancelled early admission for the season. So we waited for the gates to open and went straight to the Test Track - where you get to ride in a car like you are the crash test dummies - IT WAS FUN but too short I thought. Apparently it is one of the most popular rides at Epcot. We then met Dad and Pat in England and had fish and chips for lunch. Got to watch a funny version of the English guards. We all walked around the world. It was one of the most humid days there and we were all exhausted quickly. We split up so we could get more character autographs and see some other exhibits and met back up with Dad and Pat later for dessert in France - great stuff!

We stayed at Epcot in Mexico for theparade and fireworks show - unbelievable.

Wed. we met Dad and Pat at Animal Kingdom and went on the Safari with them. After that they had to hit the road so we stayed and went on the Water Rapids ride to get wet and cool down. Walked around the park some, then decided we were too hot and headed to Typhoon Lagoon waterpark. That was fun but crowded!

Wed. night we just relaxed as after 3 days of walking our feet and legs were killing us.

Thursday we started out with a Chef Mickey character breakfast which we all loved - I got on the Internet there to set my Fantasy Football lineups :-) We went into the Magic Kingdom since we were so close to go on a few rides again, then spent the afternoon at MGM. Saw many of the shows there and got lots more autographs. That evening we went to Downtown Disney and Disney Quest which is a giant video arcade area which was REALLY COOL. They even had a kind of human pinball machine.

Friday was checkout day but we spent the rest of the day after packing at Magic Kingdom redoing all our favorite things. We went on Buzz Lightyear again and everyone scored better but Arianna went from scoring 1,000 points the first to get getting 102,000 points this time - and she was sure she had beat me - but of course didn't - I had 109,000 points. She did great! Kari I think only had 2,000 points that time.

Saturday was travel day - planes were packed and Arianna got airsick in between flights at Atlanta airport but otherwise the trip was uneventful. We also found our computer was on the fritz so we couldn't even get on the Net to catch up on email. So since Sunday was Kari's birthday (thanks for the cards and calls) I went out and bought a new HP computer. Boy does this thing scream! Of course Kari denies its her birthday present - she also got jewelry and cloths for her birthday.
